the Div 3 heavyweights. There was some high scoring games with 25
goals being scored all up.

Nitro falter this week and also drop 5 positions from 1st to 5th.
Saskatoon did well to come back from behind after Nitro's Schneider
scored the opener in the 19th minute. Saskatoon didn't panic and
not long before the break Alfalfio evened the score with a well
timed shot. Things stayed static until 6 minutes from time when
Bong decided to get into the action and grab a last gasp goal to
poach the full 3 points.
Eugene will be a bit annoyed at the loss of Sveum for 4 weeks due
to injury however there was some good news in that Arabic is not
badly injured and will be available for next weeks game.

This was a game that really got away from Spartak. They came to
this match feeling they had a real chance against Iggys Houston
boys. And for 70 odd minutes they were fairly even with 3-2 shots
on goal to the home team. Then came the Iggy masterstroke when he
replaced both of his forwards who had an immediate effect. Scorer
lived up to his name by putting 2 away in 2 minutes and suddenly
Houston were 2 up. Lidstone, who up until that point had been quite
pleased with his defence, screamed "Oh yeah sure….. WTF do you think
you are doing you morons???? Why don't you let in another one??
Yah dickheads!!!" So they did. He shut up after that.
It was a pretty shitty day all round for Spartak. They lost their
young Midfielder Thomio for 2 week when he was stretched off after
5 minutes and their other Midfielder Salgado finally got a SL increase
only to get it in shooting. Things were pretty good for Iggy this
week Lihhma got a correct SL increase but unfortunately Joaoe decided
he wanted some SM™ action.

This the 1st of 2 high scoring matches and was a see-sawing game.
Pasmaters Roy got them off to a flying start scoring 2 goals in
the first 10 minutes. Wong then got Eastern back on level terms
after half time with 2 goals of his own. Lazanga then got Pasmaters
back in the lead 13 minutes later but no sooner had Eastern pulled
the ball from their own net, Pasmaters were doing the same thing
and it was all square again. The Pasmaters home crowd was now going
berserk and Roy got his third just 1 minute later so that Pasmaters
inched ahead again. This time Eastern had no answer and Lazanga
got his second just 2 minutes from time to make sure the points
stayed at Pasmaters. Pasmaters are going great guns at the moment
and are by themselves on the top of the table. Good going Cag.
To make Cagris weekend complete Lazanga got a correct SL increase,
unfortunately for Pasmaters, Delphi is suspended for 1 week and
Bollokov is out injured for 2… However when you are on top these
things can be easier to take. Eastern get 2 players back from suspension
and injury, Phillips and Yau make their return next week which will
relieve Frank immensely.

I_Dzugashvili (api) 79'
B_Cole (amu) 84'
|
|
The 2nd high scoring game saw AMU concede a 2 goal start to Api then
totally smash them in the next 50 minutes. Smeggie got Api off to a good
start scoring twice in 10 minutes but unfortunately for Api that was the
end of the good stuff. From then on AMU players were lining up to get
on the score sheet. 5 goals were scored and only Webber managed to get
2. Giggs, Yorke and Cole all managed to get on the sheet and for Api a
consolation goal was scored late in the game by Dzugashvili to make the
score slightly more respectable.
A correct Sl increase for Giggs will make Ian happy.. He will be less
thrilled to lose his star midfielder for 4 weeks though. However when
you have just spanked a pretty good team you may be able grin and bear
it. Jesus's weekend got worse when he lost Mashburn for 3 weeks due to
a nasty injury.

Nouma (bes) 39' pen
A_Nboma (bes) 53'

|
Both ex Div 4 teams got up this week and will be celebrating. AMU demolished
Api and Besiktas registered their 1st points of the season by giving it
to Barnsley who along with Spartak are not having a good start to the
season. Nouma managed a double after scoring early and then calmly dealing
with a penalty to take his team 2 up in the 1st half. Nboma added the
icing when he managed a rare goal. You know things are not going well
for a team when a player with a shooting SL like Nboma can score against
you and Barnsley remain the only team not to have scored a goal so far
this season. Mind you since it is only round 3 there is plenty of time
to turn it all around.

Pasmaters, AMU, Houston and Besiktas all go up positions
all the rest except for Saskatoon drop places. |

What a start for Pasmaters
this season. Last season they rarely managed to rise above 8th spot
this year the lowest they have been is 2nd. AMUs great start sees
them in 3rd position and Besiktas rise to 7th thanks to their 1st
points. |

Besiktas are dominating the top 10 thugs
and this may come back to bite them later in the year if this goes
on. |

Roy is streaking ahead but he has his team
mate Diehard in hot pursuit with AMUs Webber close behind. |
